The Team

Meet the Studio

We met at work, where we kept getting handed the projects nobody else wanted, but we took them on anyway, and usually delivered something better than anyone expected. People started calling us Batman and Robin - the dynamic duo who could do anything! We're gamers and problem-solvers who spent years building other people's ideas. ChemTree Games is us building our own.

Kylee McCarthy

Co-Founder

Kylee mostly handles art, design, and UX, but she also writes the code to build it. She's an artist, a developer, and she cares most about how a game feels to play and the story it tells.

Triston Ritter

Co-Founder

Triston typically handles the mechanics behind the scenes, but he knows games inside and out. He's a developer and a tinkerer, the one who finds the exploit everyone else missed.

How We Got Our Name

Read our initials out loud, and you'll hear where the studio name came from.

Our Process

We grow our games with you.

We're choosy about what we make. We only start a game we believe in, then get a rough version into players' hands early and build from what they actually do with it.

The Chemistry

We only make games we love

We don't start a game unless we believe in it. We'll pour real time and art into an idea, then drop it anyway if we stop loving it. We stay careful about what we commit to, so the ones that survive are games we'd play ourselves.

The Tree

We ship early and keep going

We get builds to players in alpha and beta, then watch how people actually play. What they do tells us what to fix, cut, and add. We keep updating long after launch.
